VOTER REGISTRATION

Voter registration applications may be completed at the Town Clerk’s office during the posted business hours. Proof of Sutton residency is required. Proof of citizenship is required (birth certificate, current passport). Eligible residents are allowed to register and vote the day of elections with the proper documentation.

Once your application is completed, the application is forwarded to the Supervisors of the Checklist who will need to accept the application before you are considered a registered voter.

VOTER REGISTRATION IS CLOSED 10 DAYS PRIOR TO AN ELECTION AND DOES NOT OPEN UP AGAIN UNTIL THE DAY OF THE ELECTION.

VOTERS WHO HAVE CHOSEN UNDECLARED STATUS
If you are registered as Undeclared, you must choose a party if voting at a Primary. If you are registered as a Democrat or Republican, you will receive that ballot at the Primary. If you wish to change your party affiliation, you must do so at scheduled times with the Supervisors of the Checklist.
