DRAFT Meeting Minutes of November 5, 2019


Members present:  Dane Headley, Chair, Glenn Pogust, Andy Jeffrey and Betsy Forsham.  Absent:  Don Davis and Bob DeFelice.

Call to order:  Chair Dane Headley called the meeting to order at 4:05 p.m. 

Previous meeting minutes: It was moved by Glenn, seconded by Andy and unanimously approved to approve the minutes of October 17, 2019 as written.


On going cost estimates – Members reviewed the estimates which we have received to date but would like to get more.  Both Betsy and Glenn agreed to contact some more people. Betsy also agreed to ask the demolition folks if their prices include loaming and seeding the foundation areas after they were filled in. She will also ask the site work folks what is typical for a base under a driveway and parking area, prior to covering them with bluestone.  Glenn indicated he is still working on getting painting costs for the house but has gotten the other utility costs as well as that for insurance.

Discussion continued about what exactly we need in terms of costs to present to the public.  Andy offered the following:  1) Cost of complete demolition of all buildings 2) Cost of demolishing just the ell and barn 3) Recurring costs to maintain the house, if it remains 4) Fixed cost to build the parking area.

– Glenn handed out copies of the template he has created which shows costs of various items obtained to date. He was thanked; the template is very helpful!

The public hearing date of Thursday, Nov. 21 at 7:00 p.m. was verified.  Elly will be asked to compose a notice for publication and posting.

Next Meeting date: 

 The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 12 @ 4:00 p.m.



There being no further business to conduct, it was moved by Andy, seconded by Glenn and unanimously approved to adjourn at 5:19 p.m.
