BUDGET COMMITTEE AND BOS JOINT MEETING – September 23, 2024
The following members of the Budget Committee: Bud Nelson, Chuck Nelson, Charlie Forsberg,
Melissa King, Michael McMann (BOS liaison and Bob Wright. Absent: Michael Gebo. Members of the BOS: Glenn Pogust, Michael McManus and Nancy Glynn. Also present was T. A. Julia Jones.
ITEMS:
1. As the only present co-chair, Melissa King assumed the chair, as joint BOS and Budget Committee meetings would be directed by the elected co-chair of the Budget Committee.
2. It was moved by Wright and 2na by Chuck Nelson to select, Bud Nelson as a new budget committee member, for the balance of the term, to replace Robert Defelice, former chair. Mr. Defelice stepped down from the chair effective the 16th of September. The motion carried
without dissent.
3. Wright as secretary of the budget committee will record joint meetings until the end of the term. Such record will be reviewed at the beginning of the next joint meeting.
4. It was agreed that these joint meetings (Budget Committee & BOS) would be weekly and begin @5:00 PM on each Thursday.
5. Minutes of July 11, 18, August 22 all 2024 were distributed to budget committee members. In additional budget information for 2023 and 2024 was also distributed to budget committee members.
6. The TA distributed to members of the budget committee the following: (a) Signed approval by BOS dated, 9-3-2024 for Financial Administration (Office of TC) and Election and Voter Registration( (b) Signed approval by BOS dated 9-9-2024 for Solid Waste and CR’s, (c) Information from CC that requires additional review. The budget committee members will review all the above budgets requests and approvals and raise questions at the next scheduled joint meeting.
7. Weekly distribution of Actual & Budgeted Expenses & Encumbrance to members of the BOS & Budget Committee prior to each joint meeting. The next scheduled meeting of the BOS and Budget Committee will be @ the Town Hall @5:00 PM on Thursday, October 3rd 2024. Respectfully Submitted,
