December 17,  2018 @ 4:00 p.m.

 

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by William I. Curless, Chair.  Present at the meeting was William I. Curless, Chair; Dane Headley Selectman; Robert DeFelice Budget Chair and Elly Phillips, Town Administrator

 

The Public and Non-Public Sealed Minutes from December 10, 2018 were approved as corrected.  The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests:

PAYROLL MANIFEST:    $10,877.02

VENDOR MANIFEST:     $62, 245.24

 

CURRENT USE APPLICATION:

The Board approved an application for current use for Michael Carrier, 01-931-372 for 10.9 acres out of 12.4

 

NEW BUSINESS:

The Board approved the Holiday Pay Schedule for automatic deposits (12/24 and 12/31) and payroll checks.

 

The Board approved a request to close Town Office at noon on 12/24/2018.  Non-essential scheduled employees will receive time off with pay beginning at noon.  Selectman Curless asked that the towns policy regarding accrued vacation time be placed on the agenda for discussion in January 2019.

 

Phillips discussed the library computer equipment and suggested that they be added to the computer complete care program.  In order to do so the equipment will need to be updated.  The Selectman approved acquisition of new equipment for the library provided that there are funds available in the 2018 budget.

 

The Board reviewed the Mapping Proposal from CAI subject to Town Meeting Approval.  The Board wholeheartedly supported the mapping projects and proposal.

 

The Board issued reappointments to the following offices:

David Burnham, Health Officer

Matthew Grimes, Deputy Health Officer

 

OLD BUSINESS:

The Board authorized an independent professional slope assessment for John and Allyson Allen, Map 01-228-503, Eaton Grange Road, in order to resolve a difference of opinion in order for the applicants to move forward with their project or follow up with the Planning Board for conditional use approval.

 

The Board requested that Phillips draft a zoning amendment to the steep slope regulation for consideration at a public hearing before the Planning Board to be proposed the amendment for adoption at Town Meeting.   The Planning Board hearing would need to be noticed prior to January 10, 2019.
