May 26, 2020 @ 4:00 p.m.

 

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by Robert Wright, Jr., Chair.  Present at the meeting were Robert Wright, Jr., Chair; William I. Curless, Selectman; Dane Headley, Selectman; and Elly Phillips, Town Administrator.

 

The minutes from May 18, 2020, were approved as written.  The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests:

REVIEW OF MANIFESTS:

PAYROLL MANIFEST:  $11,809.07

VENDOR MANIFEST:  $11,572.06

 

GRANT APPLICATION:

The Board reviewed the Coronavirus Relief Fund Cares Grant Application and Reimbursement Request 1 in the amount of $3,715.34.  Selectman Curless made a motion to authorize Elly Phillips, Town Administrator as Grant Administrator and Designated Signing Authority for the Grant.  Selectman Headley seconded the motion.  The motion passed by a unanimous affirmative vote.

 

OTHER BUSINESS:

The Board discussed having conference calling at their next regularly scheduled meeting and the process for any public input.

 

Selectman Wright conveyed a concern from Diego Solimine, Solid Waste Supervisor, regarding some private signage at the Solid Waste Facility.  Selectman Curless made a motion that the Solid Waste Facility should be free of private advertising.  Selectman Headley seconded the motion.  The motion passed by a unanimous affirmative vote.

 

Selectman Headley discussed acquisition of plastic barriers to provide protection for town hall employees when the hall opens again.  Selectman Headley recommended acquiring portable automatic hand sanitizer dispensers for the town hall which could also be used for elections.

 

The Board also discussed the septage lagoons and noted that they may not be providing a benefit to the citizens.  The Board noted that there has been a capital reserve established for septage lagoon closure.  Phillips will research the agents to expend.  The Board will meet with Diego Solimine, Solid Waste Supervisor to provide input on the lagoons in further detail.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 4:18 p.m.
