November 25, 2024 | Town Admin Town of Sutton Pillsbury Memorial Hall 93 Main Street Sutton Mills, NH 03221 Select Board Minutes November 14th, 2024, 4:00pm Pledge of Allegiance: Select Board Chair Glenn Pogust opened the meeting at 4:00pm with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present at the meeting were: Glenn Pogust, Select Board Chair; Nancy Glynn, Select Board Member; and Julia Jones, Town Administrator. Appointments: Select Board Chair Glenn Pogust opened the meeting at 4:00pm with the Pledge of Allegiance. At 4:00pm Glynn made a motion to enter into a nonpublic session pursuant to NH RSA 91-A:3 II. (b) the hiring of any person as a public employee. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 4:45pm Glynn made a motion to leave the nonpublic session. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 5:00pm the Select Board and the Budget Committee held a joint public meeting. Minutes from the joint meeting will be prepared by the Budget Committee. NEW BUSINESS: At 6:45pm Glynn made a motion to enter into a nonpublic session pursuant to NH RSA 91-A:3 II. (b) the hiring of any person as a public employee. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 7:00pm Glynn made a motion to leave the nonpublic session. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 7:00pm Glynn made a motion to enter into a nonpublic session pursuant to NH RSA 91-A:3 II. (c) Matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person, other than a member of the public body itself, unless such person requests an open meeting. This exemption shall extend to any application for assistance or tax abatement or waiver of a fee, fine, or other levy, if based on inability to pay or poverty of the applicant. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. At 7:15pm Glynn made a motion to leave the nonpublic session. Pogust seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
