Board of Selectman

CALL TO ORDER:

The Meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m., by William I. Curless, Chair.  Present at the meeting were: William I. Curless, Chair; Dane Headley, Selectman; Robert Wright, Jr., Selectman, Robert DeFelice, Budget Chair, and Elly Phillips, Town Administrator as well as interested members of the public.

Selectman Curless reported that the Fire Department Membership had met to discuss whether or not to go forward with a bond/loan issue for Proposed Fire Department Addition at the 2019 Annual Meeting.  The Fire Department Membership voted 35-2 to hold off on the addition.   Selectman Curless made a motion not to go forward with the project in 2019.  Selectman Headley seconded the motion.

 

Selectman Curless observed that based on the vote of the membership it was best to hold off on the project so that best options could be explored.  The question was called.  The motion carried, not to go forward, by a unanimous affirmative vote.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:33 p.m.
