March 11, 2019

 

The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. by William I. Curless, Chair.  Present at the meeting were:  William I. Curless, Chair; Dane Headley, Selectman; Robert Wright, Jr., Selectman; Robert DeFelice, Budget Committee Chair; Tom Schamberg, State Representative and Elly Phillips, Town Administrator.

The minutes from March 4, 2019 were approved as written.  The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests:

PAYROLL MANIFEST:           $   9,770.00

VENDOR MANIFEST:             $ 31,509.88

 

BUILDING PERMITS:

The board issued a building permit to Jason and Ann Pitts, 10-528-179,  Summit Road for a garage subject to compliance with wetlands setbacks.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

The Board noted that the Highway Department will be requesting an increase in the sand/salt budget at  town meeting.

 

The Board deferred action on a request for the Board to convene a committee to review concerns regarding Horse Beach.  The Board agreed to review property ownership in further detail prior to following up on this matter.

 

The Board executed a General Assessing Contract with Commerford, Nieder, Perkins for a 3-year period with an out clause.  The advantage of entering into a three-year contract is that it allows for a fixed clause.

 

OLD BUSINESS:

The Board received materials regarding Rowell Hill road matters in preparation for a meeting with the Heberts 3/18/2019.

 

The Board noting that two seminars to be conducted by Primex on Harassment in the Workplace for Staff/Town Officials/Volunteer Harassment have been scheduled for 4/16/2019 at 6:00 p.m.  and 4/25/2019 at 10:30 a.m.

 

The Board discussed the upcoming Town Meeting.

 

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
