January 16, 2017 | Town Admin TOWN OF SUTTON Pillsbury Memorial Town Hall 93 Main Street Sutton Mills, NH 03221 Board of Selectman Meeting Minutes of January 16, 2017 The meeting was called ot order at 4:00 p.m. by Walter Baker, Jr., Chair. Present at the meeting was Walter Baker, Jr., Chair; Robert Wright, Jr., Selectman; William Curless, Selectman; Jon Korbet, Police Chief; Ed Canane, Land Use Coordinator; Don Davis, Historical Society President/Old Store Museum Trustee, Jack Noon, Old Store Museum Trustee and Elly Phillips, Recording Secretary. APPOINTMENTS: At 4:00 p.m., Ed Canane, Land Use Coordinator, met with the Board to preview the newly re-designed Town website. The site will be rolled out to departments later this week for review, comment and content submissions and is going to go live to the public as soon as possible.~ At 4:35 P.M. Selectman Wright made a motion to enter into non-public session under RSA 91-A:3,II(a) compensation of a public employee. Selectman Curless seconded the motion. The Board was polled with Selectman Baker, Selectman Wright and Selectman Curless voting in the affirmative. Public session reconvened at 4:56 p.m. The Board approved a salary increase for Chief Korbet of $120 per week or for an annual salary of $64,444 based on merit. The Board met with the Don Davis, Historical Society President/Old Store Museum Trustee and Jack Noon, Old Store Museum Trustee and Historical Society Member to review and execute a stewardship agreement for the Old Store. The Board will seek input from Town Counsel regarding returning funds in the Old Store Trustees checking account back to the Trust. The minutes from January 16, 2017 were approved as written. The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests: PAYROLL MANIFEST: $ 13,026.09 VENDOR MANIFEST: $ 13,883.21 BUILDING PERMITS: Action on a building permit for Eric Chinberg, 08-591-235, Kings Hill Road/Class VI was deferred pending a public hearing to review Class VI access which is scheduled for January 23, 2016. Selectman Wright submitted written observations from the site walk. INTENT TO CUTS: The Board issued an intent to cut for NH Public Golf Courses, North Road, for 200 acres out of 265 NEW BUSINESS: The Board issued a Yield Tax in the amount of $3,660.35. The Board accept a letter of resignation with regret, from Poppi Ritacco, Deputy Town Clerk/Tax Collector. Selectman Wright executed the Account Agreement for Lake Sunapee Bank. OLD BUSINESS: The Board provided a date correction for Yield and Fox Chase Betterment Assessment as requested by Tax Collector. The Board issued correspondence to Lorna Geggis regarding Blaisdell Farm Road. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:58.
