November 25, 2019 | Librarian TOWN of SUTTON SUTTON FREE LIBRARY 5 Corporation Hill Road Sutton Mills, NH 03221 Board of Trustees September 26, 2019 Special Meeting Public Session Approved Minutes Board Members Present: Diane O’Neil, Chairperson; Nancy Heckel, Treasurer; Jennifer Call; Diane Lander; Betsy Anderson, Alternate; and Elizabeth Geraghty, Library Director Board Member Absent: Yvonne Howard Call to Order Chairperson O’Neil called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m. and then called the roll. Chairperson O’Neil designated Board Member Anderson to sit for Board Member Howard. Board Member Anderson made a motion to enter into a Non-Public Session under RSA 91-A:3, II(c): Matters which, if discussed in public, would likely affect adversely the reputation of any person, other than a member of the public body itself, unless such person requests an open meeting. This exemption shall extend to any application for assistance or tax abatement or waiver of a fee, fine, or other levy, if based on inability to pay or poverty of the applicant. Board Member Heckel seconded the motion. The roll was called and the motion to enter into a Non-Public Session under RSA 91-A:3, II(c) carried unanimously in the affirmative. The Board then entered into a Non-Public Session at 7:50 p.m. The Public Session was reconvened at 8:30 p.m. No motion was made to seal the minutes. Reports Library Director’s Report Library Director Geraghty handed out a list of the proposed budget line items. The list also includes a description of and/or information about each line item. She also handed out a comparison of the actual 2019 Sutton Free Library budget and the proposed 2020 Sutton Free Library budget. The Board Members will discuss and approve the proposed budget line items and specific monetary amounts for each line item at the next regular meeting. Building/Grounds Committee Report Board Member Call provided an update on the ramp and the Board Members discussed the time line and the budgeted funds available for this project. Board Member Call will contact the architect and request that the ramp designs be available for the next regular meeting. Old Business Chairperson O’Neil handed out a draft MOU with the Town for the Board Members to review. New Business No new business was brought before the Board. Announcements and Next Meeting The next regular Board meeting is scheduled for October 1, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Meeting with the Sutton Board of Selectmen to discuss the budget is scheduled for November 4th at 4:30 p.m. Meeting with the Sutton Budget Committee to present the proposed budget is scheduled for November 18th at 6:15 p.m. Adjournment Motion: There being no further business, Board Member Lander moved to adjourn the meeting.
