July 5, 2022 | Town Admin TOWN OF SUTTON Pillsbury Memorial Town Hall 93 Main Street Sutton Mills, NH Sutton Mills, NH 03221 Select Board July 5, 2022 @ 5:00 p.m. Dane Headley, Selectman, opened the meeting at 5:00 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance. Present at the meeting were: Dane Headley, Chair; Michael McManus, Selectman; Wally Baker, Jr., Selectman; Ben France, Benny’s Auto Hauling. APPOINTMENTS: Ben France met with the Board to follow up on the draft contract for the clean up of Tax deeded property located at 01-407-067, formerly known as the Stotler property. Mr. France also reviewed his proposed terms for payment. Mr. France agreed to provide the town with the required insurance documentation. Selectman McManus moved to approve the minutes from June 27, 2022, as written. Selectman Baker seconded the motion. The motion passed by a unanimous affirmative vote. The Board reviewed and approved the following manifests. REVIEW OF MANIFESTS: Vendor Manifest: $16,163.58 Payroll Manifest: $14,108.16 The Board reviewed and approved a building permit for Paul & Mary Michetti, 06-211-475, Corporation Hill Road, for a shed. The Board reviewed and approved an intent to cut for Jeffrey Sercel, 03-934-262, Eaton Grange West for ten acres out of 72.2 OLD BUSINESS: The Board issued a corrected Abatement for Deborah Lang – 02-478-221. $514.00. Cause of Abatement: This property was voluntarily merged with an abutting property and should not have been issued a tax bill. NEW BUSINESS: The Board received expenditure reports for June 2022 for review at a future meeting. SELECTMEN’S COMMENTS: Selectman Headley brought up the possibility of replacing the slate roofs on municipal buildings with a faux slate roof as a potential long-term savings measure. The Board agreed that they would like to meet with Robert DeFelice, Budget Chair to get a Committee update and discuss a contingency fund for minor but necessary town expenditures. Selectman McManus brought up the need to acquire security cameras and other security measures for tax deeded property as an example of an unanticipated expense that the contingency fund could cover. Selectman Baker suggested using monies slated for the salary contingency fund for those uses. Selectman Baker suggested selling some of the granite foundation pieces on the Grist Mill parking site for revenue.
