To the residents of Sutton:

My name is Carol Merullo , Sutton’s newly elected Town Clerk/Tax Collector. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the voters for entrusting me with this very important office!

I jumped into the water with both feet on Wednesday and recommended that the selectmen appoint Cynthia Stillman as my deputy.  Cynthia graciously accepted the office and assumed her official duties at the end of the business day on March 16, 2018.

I have no plans at the present time to change any of the established office hours, but Cynthia and I have briefly discussed improving them.

I understand that these first few months will be quite an adjustment for everyone, but please be assured that all necessary arrangements are being made to keep the office running as smoothly as possible.

I hope you will have patience with us during this unexpected and difficult transition period. I am ready and excited to be your new Town Clerk/Tax Collector.
