August 29, 2023 | Librarian BOARD OF TRUSTEES SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES Corrected and Approved Minutes Date of Meeting: Wednesday, July 26, 2023 @ 7:00 pm Members Present: Catherine Paden; Emily Cooper; Lauren Avery; Tracy Mingarelli; Elizabeth Geraghty (Library Director) Members Absent: Nancy Glynn Note: The Board met in person at the Sutton Free Library for their Board of Trustees Meeting. Public Present: No members of the public were present CALL TO ORDER: Roll Call, Introduction of Guests: The Sutton Free Library Board of Trustees meeting was called to order at 7:01pm by Board Member Catherine Paden in place of Board Chair Nancy Glynn and roll taken. There were no members of the public present. Public Comments: none NEW BUSINESS: This special meeting was held to consider the purchase of a new laptop for the library. The previous library laptop stopped working and needed replacement due to age. There was discussion about a tech support option. Board Member Paden made a motion to purchase the circulation laptop and 4 years of tech coverage for $2,088 from the Trustee Account, non-restricted funds. Board Member Emily Cooper seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously in the affirmative. Board Member Paden made a motion to adjourn. Board Member Cooper seconded the motion. The motion was carried unanimously in the affirmative and the meeting was adjourned at 7:07 pm.
