SUTTON RECYCLING AND WASTE REDUCTION COMMITTEE

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Sutton Recycling and Waste Reduction Committee, please contact one of the people listed below. This Committee is being formed to assist the Select Board in examining the issues surrounding the lack of recycling opportunities for plastics, paper, etc. This committee will investigate the issues, cost out potential solutions, consult with the manager of the Sutton Transfer Station, and propose solutions to the Select Board. The committee will also research waste reduction ideas and prepare helpful flyers on ways to reduce or reuse household waste.

Committee members should have an interest in recycling and waste reduction, keeping in mind the size of the town and capabilities of its transfer station.  Areas of expertise should include knowledge of, or willingness to research, waste issues and financial options available through government and non-profit grants.

If you are a Sutton resident interested in serving on this committee, please contact either Debbie Lang at either (603) 938-2114 or nycdebl@yahoo.com, or Barb Hoffman at either (603) 456-2769 or blhoffman51@gmail.com, by July 20, 2023.
